Refund policy
Last updated [[DATE]]
You get fourteen days with the whole application before paying anything, so you should know exactly what you are buying by the time you buy it. If it still turns out to be wrong for you, we would rather give the money back than keep it.
The window
Ask within [[REFUND WINDOW — 14 or 30]] days of your purchase and we will refund it in full. You do not need to give a reason. We may ask what went wrong, because it usually tells us something worth fixing, but an answer is not a condition.
How to ask
Write to [[CONTACT EMAIL]] from the address you bought with, or include the order number from your receipt. One line is enough.
How long it takes
We approve refund requests within [[RESPONSE TIME — e.g. two business days]]. The refund is issued by [[MERCHANT OF RECORD]], who processed the payment, and appears on your statement according to your bank's own timing — usually five to ten business days.
What happens to your writing
Nothing. Your journal is on your device and a refund does not touch it. Everything you have written stays readable, searchable and exportable. The licence stops applying to new pages, that is all.
If you would like to keep your writing, use Export everything in the app's settings before or after the refund. The file is yours either way.
Outside the window
After [[REFUND WINDOW]] days we do not routinely refund, since the trial and the window together give you a long time to decide. If something has genuinely gone wrong — the application will not run on your device, or it is not what the site described — write to us anyway. We would rather sort it out than stand on a policy.
Your statutory rights
Depending on where you live, consumer law may give you cancellation rights beyond this policy. Nothing here limits them. Because [[MERCHANT OF RECORD]] is the merchant of record for your purchase, their terms also apply to the transaction, and you may raise a refund request with them directly.
